Francesco Vidotto presents ONESTO

Biography: Francesco Vidotto (1976). He grew up among the peaks of the Dolomites and worked for twenty years as a consultant and manager of large companies, until he understood one thing that even the Faculty of Economics had taught him: that the greatest wealth that each of us has is time. So he returned to his mountains, to Tai di Cadore, where he dedicates himself to nature and writing, which has always been his life companion. Among his short stories and novels we remember in particular Oceano, published by Minerva edizioni, very loved by the readers who have made it a longseller.

Descriptive text of the book:
On a rainy night, from the window of his house in the woods of Cadore Francesco sees the figure of a man standing in the middle of the storm and invites him to enter: “I take shelter gladly. If it rained I would refuse wine, but it rained water” is the answer.

This is how Francis meets Guido Contin, called Cognac, the face marked by wrinkles engraved as the rocks of the Dolomites and blue eyes like the sky.

And it is there, while the comforting heat of the fire dries his wet clothes, that Guido Contin, known as Cognac, draws out a wrapper containing some very special letters: each one addressed to one of the majestic mountains which surround them, and each tells a piece of the life of Honest, who has lost everything yet considers himself the richest man in the world…

For love is the opposite of possession, and a burning desire in the heart is worth more than a thousand riches.
